YEAR OF ESTABLISHMENT: 1963

• Awareness program for the students with special needs in collaboration with P.K.K Bandel in a project entitled as Students as Partners.
• Participating and experiencing the holistic education provided by KHELAGHAR a residential school for socially and economically deprived children at Badu Madhyamgram, Kolkata.
• Students collect donate winter garments for SHARE HOUSE CHARIATABLE FOUNDATION, working for the poor children and adults in the remote villages and orphanages in Jungle Mahal area Purulia, Sunderban Islands and villages of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. (Project Warm Clothing).
• The students of the B.Ed. Department in collaboration with AVBD, WBVBDA, took part in The B.Ed. Annual Blood Donation Camp as part of voluntary medical service .
• Many students of the department continued their pursuit of higher studies in courses like M.Ed, M.PHIL, Ph.D (including JRF scholarship) both from within the country and abroad.
• Students of the department get quick placement in government and private schools, B.Ed, engineering and general degree colleges and also in other sectors such as junior translation officer in Ministry of Finance, Income Tax Department, GOI.
• Students make the department proud by securing several ranks in the final university examination almost every year.
